Elham Shaheen a Coptic

Prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen has given her final approval to play the leading role in the new television drama “Imra’ah min Zaman Al Hawanim” (A woman from the era of proper ladies) to be her second drama after completing the filming of the drama “Ma’ali Al Wazeerah” (Her Excellency the Minister), which is scheduled to air during the Ramadan season.

 

According to the London based Elaph, the second drama Elham will take part in is written by Shaheerah Salam and it was originally to be a film, but then was decided to be a television drama. Filming of the first scenes is hope to take place by the end of the current year.

 

In “Imra’ah min Zaman Al Hawanim”, Elham will play the role of a Coptic woman caught in a social dilemma due to the fact that she falls in love with a Muslim man. This is the second time Elham plays the role of a Coptic woman the first time being in the film “Wahid Sifir” (One Zero), which won several awards in different film festivals.
