One Million Egyptian Pounds ($144,000) were stolen from Egyptian bellydancer Dina’s home in Cairo. The culprit? Someone closer to home than she thought!.
The crime took place on Valentine’s Day in Dina's Al Sheikh Zayed - area in Cairo - villa, while she was away on business.
The culprit was none other than the starlet’s own servant. Instead of giving his employer some love on that day, he robbed her instead! Dina discovered the incident the following day and immediately reported it to the police, according to Elaph news.
The police were able to identify and arrest the servant who stole the big bucks, and the entire sum was then returned to a now-happy Dina.
The poor servant confessed that he resorted to stealing because he was in desperate need for money, and his low salary was not enough to cover his expenses.
