Although he's willing to get down and dirty on screen with a series of gritty dramas, it looks like Syrian actor, Bassem Yakhour, is a lot more reticent about his personal life and particularly his politics.
The star was recently spotted out doing his bit for the handicapped kids of Dubai and told reporters that he's a regular at similar centers for Syrian children too.
But on-screen he has been getting into some cutting political comedy in the form of TV series, 'Niran Sadiqa' (Friendly Fires), set to be released in Ramadan.
However, although Bassem is up for getting is hands dirty with some poltics on-screen, the actor is sick and tired of being asked about his own politics off-screen, according to Sayidaty magazine.
The drama king said he's all for freedom of speech but wants to be judged on his acting rather than his government allegiances.
