The data for January 2005 confirms a tendency which began last year in Tunisia, whereby the two telephone operators, Tunisia Télécom and Tunisiana are the leading advertisers in TV.
According to statistics gathered in January 2005, TT and Tunisiana have captured 30.5% of the global advertising spending in TV. Tunisia Télécom, the public operator, topped the list. In this context, it should be mentioned that TT was the official sponsor of the World Cup of Handball and also sponsor of the Tunisian national team, which helped it to attain the first spot.
