Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced the launch of a new addition to its new line of Smart Cameras, the WB150F long-zoom model that offers Wi-Fi connectivity for photo sharing, backup and a host of other features.

With the Wi-Fi capability of the new Samsung SMART long-zoom, users can easily share their experiences with friends and family. By connecting from any Wi-Fi hotspot, users can email photos or share them on social networks such as Facebook and Picasa and post videos to YouTube in addition to providing comments on the images directly from the camera.

Users can also save their special images onto the camera’s microSD memory card, which are then wirelessly connected to the home PC and downloaded instantly to share and enjoy. Alternatively, they can also take advantage of integrated free storage space from Samsung’s AllShare Play and Microsoft SkyDrive, a Cloud storage system, to make their photo accessible anywhere and at any time.

“Sharing photographs taken with friends and family is one of the most enjoyable aspects of a photo experience. It’s more than about simply capturing memories, sharing is an integral part of the experience itself. From listening to our customers, we understood that being able to conserve memories by sharing images instantly was what was missing from the high-quality cameras that they trust,” Mr. Raj Varma, General Manager of the IT division, Samsung Gulf Electronics said. “With this in mind, we added groundbreaking Wi-Fi functions to our zoom camera, building on the brilliant image quality that high-quality sensors and zoom lenses provide, now with the ability to share and save like never before,” he added.

The WB150F makes it easy to capture incredible details through its zoom lens, making it simple to get up-close shots that were once out of reach with its 18x optical super zoom. In order to capture the detail at its best, the WB150F also features 14.2 Megapixel sensors.

Share unforgettable scenes in Full HD

Whether filming at the carnival in Rio de Janeiro or from a vantage point atop the world’s highest buildings, Samsung’s travel zoom camera means you can share your video in HD. The WB150F features fantastic 720/30p HD capture ensuring that once-in-a-lifetime experiences are captured in all the color and vibrancy that you experienced them in.

Making it easy to get the best shot

With the new travel zoom camera, it’s up to you how you get the best shot. On the WB150F you can explore your own photographic skills with Full Manual Control, also taking advantage of the OIS. Alternatively, Smart Auto identifies and automatically selects the most appropriate of its scene modes to provide you with the best possible result every time. From a fireworks display to a dimly-lit party, scene detection technology identifies the shooting conditions and automatically tailors the settings to help achieve standout results.

Live Panorama to get everyone in the shot!

Live Panorama allows you to capture even more of the action, facilitating wide panoramic shots which don’t miss any of the detail, from sprawling mountain peaks through to large groups of friends. The function allows the easy capture of large scenes by simply holding down the shutter button and sweeping the camera across. Users can even preview the whole scene they’ve just captured via the LCD screen.

The Samsung SMART Camera WB150F is available across all leading retail outlets in the UAE at a price of AED 899.
