Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will glide into this year’s Dubai International Motor Show with a new Bespoke Phantom model. Inspired by the elegant world of yachting, the Riviera Phantom Drophead Coupé references the clean lines of classic racing yachts, combining a palette of marine colours and the detailed craftsmanship for which Rolls-Royce is renowned.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “The extensive Bespoke service available to Rolls-Royce customers continues to drive our business, particularly in the Middle East. Customers have a well developed appreciation of luxury and craftsmanship, combined with a strong sense of individuality. The Riviera Phantom Drophead Coupé illustrates the limitless range of Bespoke possibilities available to discerning clients.”

The introduction of the Riviera Phantom Drophead Coupé at the Dubai show will be complemented by the unveiling of a unique commemorative model of The Spirit of Ecstasy. The iconic hood ornament which graces the bonnet of all Rolls-Royce models celebrates her 100th anniversary this year. This celebration is being marked in the Middle East with a 2,300 diamond enrobed version created by Mouawad Jewellers, valued at $250,000.

This year’s show is also the perfect platform for the regional debut of Ghost Extended Wheelbase, a model developed in response to customer demand for even more than the ample rear cabin space already offered in Ghost. The addition of 17cm is amplified by a panoramic sunroof that bathes the interior in natural light, providing an added indulgence, in which to entertain, work or simply relax in sumptuous luxury.

Ghost Extended Wheelbase is powered by a twin turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine and is designed to be as enjoyable to drive as to be driven in. From the exterior, its extra length is reflected in a well proportioned, discreet design and comes with a new forged wheel that subtly differentiates it from its standard wheelbase cousin.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars continues to enjoy exceptional sales success with Ghost, a model that represents the marque in its simplest, purest form. From the true Rolls-Royce driving experience with its seemingly endless surge of power, to the refined and effortlessly graceful interior with soft full grain leather, natural wood veneers and Blenheim wool carpets, Ghost is a true and uncompromising Rolls-Royce in every sense.

“The Middle East is a very important region for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and the Dubai International Motor Show is an excellent platform for us to present our latest models and spectacular limited editions to this influential market. We expect an excellent response to the models being showcased this year,” concluded Müller-Ötvös.

Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce Limited was a renowned British car and, from 1914 on, aero-engine manufacturing company founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce on 15 March 1906 as the result of a partnership formed in 1904.

In 1971, Rolls-Royce was crippled by the development of the advanced RB211 jet engine, resulting in the nationalisation of the company as Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited. In 1973, the car division was separated from the parent company as Rolls-Royce Motors. Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited continued as a nationalised company until it was privatised in 1987 as Rolls-Royce plc.
