QF Radio is introducing an original line-up of programmes for the new summer season. The station’s thought-provoking shows are intended to draw listeners to an exciting and diverse mix of issues including politics, culture, sports, nutrition and the arts.

QF Radio is broadcast globally over the internet and covers Qatar on the frequency 93.7 FM from its studios at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF).

Every year, QF Radio undertakes research to ascertain audience needs in order to develop fresh programmes that are designed to engage youth across the GCC and beyond.

The station also aims to inform regional and international audiences about noteworthy initiatives and achievements that showcase the nation’s cultural heritage and its progress towards achieving Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

This season, QF Radio will offer something new for both English and Arabic speakers. It taps into the issues that matter the most to locals and residents by frequently inviting guests to participate in live shows.

The English-speaking audience can tune in to the English news bulletin every day at noon. For the fashion-savvy listener, a new show will reveal the latest trends on the runways and the most up-to-date reports from sought-after designers every Wednesday at 6pm. For current news analysis, a dedicated show will present the latest events in Qatar and around the world every Tuesday at 6pm.

Arabic speakers have a host of intriguing shows to contend with such as “Sports Global”, which delves into the world of sports and invites guests to offer their viewpoint. Timely political issues will also be raised and reflected upon in the new radio segment “Politics and Politicians” broadcast every Sunday evening at 7pm. For investors, regional and international stock market updates will also be airing every Monday evening.

Listeners who want to adopt healthy and nutritious habits this summer should tune into the new radio segments Green Tea every Friday afternoon, while those keen to find out about fun-filled events and the latest movie releases this summer can tune into the “Weekend” show every Thursday evening at 7pm. In addition, a weekly show called Tour will introduce residents to different places and activities taking place in Qatar.

Another meaningful programme scheduled to air in Arabic this season is “Heritage hours.” Every week, the host will invite an elderly Qatari guest to discuss the country’s rich cultural heritage and give listeners insight into how life used to be in the past.
