NBO opens Oman’s first digital corner to serve customers 24/7

National Bank of Oman (NBO) has opened Oman’s first Digital Corner in its head office in Al Azaiba to serve NBO and non-NBO customers alike at any time of day or night. Adding accessibility and convenience, the new NBO Digital Corner allows customers to make banking suit their life at anytime.

We have pushed the boundaries of what is possible  and have combined the in-branch experience with our digital capabilities to create opportunities for customers and businesses at anytime without the need of visiting the branch during working hours.” 

The Digital Corner has been built around customer needs and features an interactive multi-function kiosk,  full self service Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) and ATM, as well as Full Function Machines (FFMs). The state-of-the-art service can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year access providing the highest level of security. 

Both NBO and non-NBO customers can use the interactive mult-function kiosk to open an account order and to order, replace, or top up their Badeel Prepaid Card. Meanwhile, customers can use the ITM and ATM to make cash withdrawals and deposit cash or cheques; replace their debit card; transfer money of up to OMR 7,000; submit enquiries about their accounts, loans and cards; print financial statements; supported by the assistance from a live teller.  The digital corner is also equipped with FFMs providing access to a variety of services, including the payment of utility bills, cash and cheque deposits, and cardless cash withdrawals, while it also offers safety deposit boxes to name a few. 

A second Digital Corner is due to be opened at the NBO branch in Qurayyat later this year, and more will follow in branches across Oman throughout the year.
