NBAD leads next generation branches

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE, launched  a state-of-the-art branch that brings ground-breaking concepts to consumer banking.

H.E. Sultan Bin Rashed Al Dhaheri, NBAD's Board Member; Michael Tomalin, the Group Chief Executive of NBAD; Abdulla Ghobash, NBAD’s Regional Manager in the Northern Emirates; Saif Al Shehhi, the Senior General Manager of the Domestic Banking Division of NBAD; and senior executives of the Bank inaugurated the new branch, located in Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.

The new branch is the first of the many that NBAD willaunch in the near future.

“The National Bank of Abu Dhabi today has unveiled concepts that personify the future of consumer banking to make branch visits more pleasant and convenient.” Mr. Al Shehhi said.

Mr. Al Shehhi continued: “The central focus for anyone is first and foremost family. It is followed by friends and job; and then your bank because this who you entrust your money with, it’s the entity that probably helped you buy your house, car and even more. This is why it’s long overdue that branches adopted an environment embodying aesthetics, comfort, privacy and personality.”

The interior of the branch showcases stylish and futuristic façade that is been designed to make branch banking convenient, pleasurable, exhilarating, and intimate for consumers. It also sports the most sophisticated information technology to ensure the most efficient banking.

The branch, which provides a full range of services from deposits and loans to cards, investments, and elite banking services, is segmented by services provided. Upon entry, consumers would be greeted at the welcome zone by Service Ambassadors who would direct each customer to the appropriate area to be served.

The space has been created to ensure privacy between each consumer and banker offering assistance, thus providing consumers comfort and allowing bankers to better understand and communicate with them at transaction zone or/and consultation zone.

“The objective behind this concept is to make consumer feel comfortable, welcome and at ease inside the bank,” said Suvo Sarkar, the General Manager of Consumer & Elite Banking. “NBAD aspires to significantly acquire new customers and we intend to achieve it by introducing customer-centric products and launching groundbreaking and innovative ideas. Redesigning of our new branches is one strategy NBAD will pursue.”

This branch is strategically located to cater to service busy commercial and residential districts on Sheikh Zayed Road and the financial hub, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It is staffed by best trained banking cadres under leadership of Oshba Mubarak; one of UAE young banking professionals,

NBAD will open more branches in the near future employing the same concepts. NBAD has one of the largest branch and ATM networks in the UAE, with 115 branches and 483 ATMs across the nation.

“Consumer banking remains a competitive market in the UAE and NBAD would supplement its superior products and reputation by launching groundbreaking branches that not only bring us closer to consumers but allow us to differentiate NBAD banking experience from the rest,” Mr. Al Shehhi said.
