Ministry scholarship programs for PMU students

The Student Affairs Division in Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) encourages students to avail many opportunities especially by applying for scholarship programs. The Ministry of Higher Education had specified such schemes for Saudi universities to support the students.
“The scholarship programs are mainly aimed to support the Saudi students. Financial aids pave the way for them to pursue higher education without facing any financial hurdle,” said PMU’s Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Omar Elmoussa.
He said that “the Ministry of Higher Education has allocated scholarships for the deserving students of this university like it has done for rest Saudi universities. Students can apply for various such scholarships through logging into its website http:grants.mohe.gov.sa which carries further details.
According to the Student Affairs Division records at PMU, at least 1250 students of this university have been granted such scholarships so far. They were part of the scholarship project from Ministry’s program to support the educational institutions in the Kingdom.
The National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment had done thorough evaluation to scrutinize the institutions of higher learning to grant scholarships. The Ministry grants scholarships for a period of one academic session but renews that depending upon the performance of students getting such scholarships.
“Students applying for the Ministry Scholarships are required to obtain the cumulative GPA of at least 50% to avail such scholarship scheme benefits,” said Mr. Omar Elmoussa while being asked about the scholarship terms and conditions.
