Learn Hindi for free this May at Eton Institute and ditch those pesky subtitles

Have you always been fascinated by Indian cinema and the exotic Indian culture? Eton Institute, the UAE’s largest language training and professional development centre, is offering a Free Hindi course for the month of May. The institute offers a free language course every month, from its diverse range of over 100 languages, as part of its commitment to encourage cultural awareness and diversity.
Learn the language of the world’s most beautiful woman - Aishwariya Rai, the most charitable woman in the world - Mother Teresa and Bollywood box office king - Shahrukh Khan. Be able to watch an action packed Hindi movie without having to read the subtitles or be able to pronounce some of your favourite Indian dishes, when at a restaurant. Step into a culture full of vibrancy, festivities and colour and experience the Indian culture in its true exotic form.
Hindi is the national language of India and is spoken by over 490 million people across the world. Moaz Khan, Marketing Manager at Eton Institute explained, “Being a distant relative of English, Hindi is considerably easier to learn as a second or third language. The language has been enriched by Persian, Turkish, Farsi, Arabic, Portuguese, and English. Where do you think English words like ‘juggernaut’, 'dungarees' and 'sherbet' have originated from? The culture is full of life and there is so much more you can experience when you speak the language. That is why we decided to offer Hindi as a free course this month, to educate the community about the language and the fascinating Indian culture.”
The free Hindi course will run from 18th May to 9th June 2012 as part of the Institute’s ‘Eton Plus’ offering. The classes will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. For more information about how to register, join Eton Institute’s community on Facebook and Twitter. Places for the free course are limited and will be offered on a strictly first-come first-serve basis.

Next time speak some of those dramatically poetic Hindi movie dialogues with ease and be able to tell the difference between a spicy Indian dish and an Indian dish that will set you on fire when ordering a meal.
