Dubai Higher Colleges of Technology honors more than 250 outstanding students

More than 250 students were recently awarded at Student Award Ceremony held at Higher Colleges of Technology–Dubai (HCT-Dubai) / Men’s Campus.
The aim of the ceremony was to recognize students who were involved in activities which served to enhance the college community, its sense of cohesion, its concern for its members, and students who generally went above and beyond in their contribution to college life. Leadership, hard-work, dedication and talent were all recognized.
The event was held in the presence of Guest of Honor His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director-General of Residency & Foreign Affairs - Dubai (Immigration Department) along with Dr. Howard Reed, Director of HCT-Dubai and other UAE dignitaries, teaching staff and students’ families.
“The Student Award Ceremony is a celebration of students who are excelling not only in their studies, but through the many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities offered. We want to focus on highlighting student success even more and to have a ceremony at a time when families and employers could join us for this celebration” said Dr. Amna Al Mazam, Dean of Health Sciences and Student Development at HCT-Dubai.
The categories of Students’ Awards for this year included Recruitment Volunteers, Transportation Volunteers, Events Volunteers, Master of Ceremonies, Clubs and most active members, Outstanding Clubs, Graduates with Distinction, Outstanding Student Awards, and Director's Award which is given to Student who not only has achieved academic excellence but has made a mark as a student leader.
