Eton Institute to host ‘Language Olympics’ in celebration of the 2012 Olympic Games in London

In Europe preparation are vigorously underway for the Olympics, which are to start on the 27^th of July, in London. While in the Middle East, Eton Institute, the largest language training and professional development centre in the UAE prepare for its very own version of the event in a unique and engaging way.

On the 27^th of July Eton Institute will begin its first ‘Language Olympics’ for the online community on Facebook, a unique concept coined in the spirit of this year’s Olympic Games in London. Participants will be able to take part in a daily language related quiz on Eton Institute’s Facebook page, which will run for the entire duration of the Olympic Games, 27^th July to the 12^th of August. A new question will be revealed every day and individuals with the correct answer will stand a chance to win daily prizes of phrasebooks in that days featured language as well as be entered into a draw to win the grand prize of a free 30 hour language course of their choice.

“The Olympic Games brings the world together in a way no other event does. There are people of all cultures and walks of life, participating and cheering for each other. The world audience learns something about every culture and country that participates. From this element we came to creating the Language Olympics. The Language Olympics will teach something new about a language every day adding excitement to the already electric energy that the actual event has created,” explained Moaz Khan, Marketing manager at Eton Institute.
