Colin Cordery to head Al-Futtaim Honda
Al-Futtaim Honda has appointed Colin Cordery as Regional Managing Director responsible for Honda’s operations in UAE, Qatar and Egypt, effective September 15.
“Honda has had a strong start to the year with the introduction of new models to its line-up. I look forward to taking on the challenge of building on this successful foundation and taking the business to the next level,” said Colin.
Colin has extensive international experience in the automotive industry in a career spanning over 15 years and has been associated with Al-Futtaim's automotive division since 2007. In his capacity as Managing Director, Trading Enterprises and Al-Futtaim Automall, Colin has achieved significant growth across the Chrysler, Volvo and Al-Futtaim Automall brands.
Colin joined Al-Futtaim in September 2007 as Group Financial Services Manager. In 2009, he accepted the role as Managing Director, Trading Enterprises and Al-Futtaim Automall. The same year saw First Motor Company in Saudi Arabia being added to his portfolio of companies. In 2012, the regional distributorship for Fisker Automotive Inc. was added to his stewardship.
Colin started his automotive career in retailing with the Abercromby Motor Group in the sales department, but soon progressed to become Franchise Manager. After three years at Abercromby, Colin spent a further seven years with Peugeot – one of Europe’s largest Automotive Principals – in Senior Regional Sales & Financial Services roles.
Born and educated in the UK, Colin holds a Joint Honours Master’s degree in French and German.
