Airport International Group organizes Ramadan CSR initiatives and carries out Ramadan activities at QAIA

Airport International Group, AIG, the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of Queen Alia International Airport, QAIA, has supported two charity initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility, CSR, campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as held special activities to accommodate fasting passengers at QAIA. 

Among its CSR initiatives is AIG’s partnership with local NGO Tkiyet Um Ali, under which the Company distributed goodwill parcels to a number of underprivileged families living in Al Jizah. AIG also organized a Ramadan Iftar for orphaned children from SOS Children’s Villages Jordan at Jungle Bungle, and afterwards handed out traditional Eid Al Fitr sweets to the children As part of the Company’s support for social solidarity, AIG’s employees participated in both initiatives. 

In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, AIG has been distributing complimentary dates and water bottles to passengers in the Arrivals and Departures halls at QAIA so that they may break their fast after the Maghrib call for prayer.

Our community involvement through our Ramadan initiatives is a reflection of this commitment which is not limited to Ramadan itself, but extends to cover the rest of the year through several planned CSR activities,” said Kjeld Binger, CEO of AIG. He went on to express pride at the level of enthusiasm and involvement witnessed from AIG’s employees who “have volunteered their time and efforts to help spread the spirit of Ramadan.” Commenting on the airport activities, he added that one of AIG’s main priorities at QAIA is to deliver a unique travel experience that caters to the needs of our passengers, and reflects the warmth and heritage of the Jordanian people.
