Kuwaiti firm may set up Iraq logistical center

The Kuwaiti Public Warehousing Company (PWC) is in advanced stages in its
negotiations with the Iraqi government regarding the tender for the establishment and management of a logistical service center in Baghdad, reported <i>Al-Qabas</i> newspaper. The total costs of the project are estimated at 40 million Kuwaiti Dinars ($136.9 million) for a three year period.


The project aims to offer logistical services, such as storage and inventory
administration, as well as supplying equipments for hospitals, schools and
public services in Baghdad at the first stage, and in other central regions
in Iraq in later stages. The company aims to implement this project as part of its efforts to become the logistical advisor of the Iraqi government for a 6 year period. This deal is valued at 110 million Dinars ($376.7 million).
