Jordanian exports of fruit and vegetables to Iraq on the rise

Jordanian exports of fruit and vegetables to Iraq in 2004 amounted to 44,000
tons, most of it was tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant, and potatoes,  according
to the general secretary of the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Akef
al-Zu'bi, and as reported by the Jordanian newspaper, <i>Al-Rai</i>.

 

Iraq occupied the fourth place among all countries which imported Jordanian fruit and vegetable exports last year, after its market was closed for approximately 12 years.
