ALBAWABA – Italy has announced increased entry fees for tourists visiting the city of Venice. According to the new policy, visitors will need to pay approximately $11.37 (10 euros) to spend a full day in the city.

Tourists in Venice will now have to pay double the usual entry fees

If you are planning to visit Venice soon, be prepared to pay approximately $11.37 (10 euros), nearly double the entry fee from 2024.

The new fee will take effect in May 2025 and will apply every day of the week, including weekends.

According to sources, entrance fees will be required on 54 days this year, nearly double the number of days they were charged last year.

Upon arriving in the city, tourists will need to obtain an online QR code, which they can download to their mobile phones. Tourists who manage to book ahead of time will have to pay around $5.40 (5 Euros) while last minute visitors will pay around $10.80 (10 Euros).

It is worth noting that Venice has become the first city to charge entrance fees for its visitors and tourists, similar to the concept behind museums.
