According to <i>Al-Ahli</i>, Iraqi trade minister Mohammad Moustafa Aljabouri confirmed that in order to privatize Iraqi companies it is extremely important to set well studied business plans to make sure that the private sector is taking part in the process and that the rights of employees are kept.
In an interview with <i>Alsharq Alawast</i> newspaper, he said that a gradual process, as happened in many other countries, is the best method for smooth privatization. He emphasized that every economic conversion should be supported financially to prevent social disorders. In the interview, Aljabouri clarified that the ministry established a special authority to act as a steering agent for the privatization process.
