According to Alkhaleej, Iraq’s privatizations authority started its
work for the year 2005 by creating a data base about 190 public companies
in the field of production and governmental services.
A high level source at the authority said that the main objective of such database is to evaluate the economic performance and outlining the suitable methods to reorganize them according to the privatization program. The source clarified that the database includes information based on financial and
human resource indicators. Such information can be beneficial in the
analysis and evaluation processes.
