ALBAWABA - A surgery to remove a stone from a 15-year-old boy's gall bladder was reportedly carried out by a bogus doctor who followed YouTube tutorials to conduct the operation, NDTV reports, with the boy passing away as a result in Saran, in the state of Bihar, India.

Family members said Krishna Kumar vomited numerous times and was sent to Ganpati Hospital. "He stopped vomiting after admission, but Ajit Kumar Puri, his doctor, advised surgery,” the father Chandan Shaw said to NDTV, adding that the ‘doctor’ operated by viewing YouTube videos.

When the teenager's condition worsened, the 'doctor' called for an ambulance to take him to a hospital in Patna, the state capital. According to the teen's relatives, the youngster passed away on route, and the ‘doctor’ and others accompanying him left his body at the hospital and rushed away.

“They left the body on the hospital stairs and fled,” Shaw said.

A complaint was made by the family with the local police, according to India Today, alleging that Puri had engaged in negligent and malpractice behavior. They assert that he lacked the necessary qualifications and lacked experience, and that his acts were the cause of the death of their teenager.

When the family members were questioned by NDTV as to why they brought the kid to Ajit Kumar Puri given they were uncertain about his credentials, they responded by saying “We just wanted the vomiting to stop. He conducted the operation without our consent.”

A thorough inquiry would be carried out, as promised by the Superintendent of Police in Saran, Kumar Ashish. Who went on to say, “I have given the SHO instructions to handle the case with the utmost care,” New Indian Express reports.
