Former Manager of the Crowne Plaza Jeddah, Tarek Al-Sulaimani, has been appointed general manager of the Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort, a Six Continents Hotels property due to open in October.

Al-Sulaimani embarked on a career in the hospitality industry in 1984 in public relations and was soon promoted to director of personnel by the Saudi Hotels & Resort Area Company. A transfer to the Al-Baha Palace Hotel as General Manager took place in 1986.

In 1987 he joined Al Fau Holiday Inn as EAM, followed by a transfer to Holiday Inn Yanbu, where he became the first Saudi National to be appointed as general manager of a Holiday Inn property in the Kingdom. He returned to Al Fau in 1997 to the Holiday Inn, which by then was re-branded as the Crowne Plaza Jeddah.

Upon completion Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort will consist of 60 one and two bedroom villas with kitchenettes, parking and maids rooms. The villas, as well as a further 42 guest rooms will be situated around an artificial lagoon with three adjacent swimming pools. — (menareport.com)
