ALBAWABA - Google, the American multinational technology company, has announced the launch of a new, safer, child-friendly version of Gemini AI—a generative artificial intelligence chatbot developed in-house.
Gemini AI for kids
The company revealed a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot designed specifically for children. This child-friendly version of Gemini AI will allow kids to interact with the bot, ask questions, get help with schoolwork and homework, and even create imaginative stories.
Google plans to officially launch the new version next week, specifically for children under 13 years old who have Google accounts managed by their parents. This move comes as tech companies compete to attract young users with AI-powered products.

According to the company, the chatbot will be available to children whose parents use Family Link, Google's parental control service that allows parents to manage and adjust settings on their children's devices.
To create accounts for their children, parents will need to provide Google with personal information, such as their child’s name and date of birth.
