ALBAWABA - Il Foglio, the Italian daily newspaper with nationwide circulation, published its first edition created by artificial intelligence (AI).

Il Foglio AI newspaper edition

The famous Italian newspaper published its first four pages artificial intelligence (AI) edition. The full edition was developed by artificial intelligence (AI) including headlines and irony, marking the first new paper ever to depend on AI.

According to The Guardian, Il Foglio is currently testing this process as part of an experiment aimed at highlighting the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on daily tasks and various aspects.

Notably, AI tools were involved in developing, writing, and editing the entire edition of the AI newspaper, including crafting titles, headlines, summaries, and even quotes. Journalists only participated by asking questions and guiding the app.

The new AI edition of Il Foglio will be released for a full month and distributed alongside the regular issues as the newspaper tests the deployment of AI in the press sector.

“Articles were structured, straightforward and clear, with no obvious grammatical errors,” according to the Guardian. However, many people believe it is risky to depend on AI when you write about news as you need to seek clarity, accuracy, and credibility always.
