Emirates Insurance Company records net profit rise

The Emirates Insurance Company recorded a 35.38 million Emirati Dirham net income in 2001 compared with Dh 33.9 million in the previous year of 2000, reported Al-Bayan . Meeting in Abu Dhabi yesterday, the General Assembly of the Emirates Insurance Company decided to distribute Dh 30 million dividends to stockholders and to transfer nine million dirhams to the general reserves.  

 

The company reported that the value of subscribed insurance installments by customers reached Dh 150.6 million in 2001 including all insurance categories, up from Dh 124.4 million in the previous year of 2000. These figures translate into a 21.3 percent rise. The company’s expenses grew from Dh 11 million to Dh 11.5 million during the same period, a 5.6 percent increase. — (menareport.com)
