Emirates Academy of Hospitality and Accor enter into partnership

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management has recently entered into a partnership with the Accor hotels group to enhance the quality of service and employees' professionalism of Accor hotels in the Arabian Peninsula.  

 

The Accor group delivers its training through a network of training centers and relay Academies which use local training resources, such as the Emirates Academy, to incorporate the realities of life and culture in their specific regions in training courses provided.  

 

Amongst 450 training courses available, training programs will include ‘Bienvenue chez Accor', ‘Training the Trainer', ‘Head of Department: a Manager' as well as training sessions such as ‘Up-selling', ‘Yield Management', ‘Welcoming a Guest: a State of Mind' and ‘Exceeding Guests' Expectations'.  

 

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, in academic association with the prestigious École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree program in International Hospitality Management and this is the first hospitality management degree program approved in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.  

 

With 147,000 employees in 140 countries, Accor is a European groups operating travel, tourism and corporate services. It major international activities include operating 3,700 hotels (415,000 rooms) in 90 countries, casinos, travel agencies and restaurants. 

 

In Accor, training is provided to all levels of staff in the organization and every year 20 percent of the employees receive professional development training.
