According to <i>Azzaman</i> newspaper, Iraqi Planning Minister, Mahdi al-Hafiz, has inaugurated the geographical data systems national center near the ministry's headquarters.
The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) equipped this facility with the necessary programs, computers and automatic systems. It's planned to provide information, data and statistics to the different decision makers in Iraq to ease the missions of the different Iraqi ministries. KOICA has implemented several aid programs to assist developing countries making strenuous efforts towards independence and self-sufficiency.
