ALBAWABA – Coca-Cola, the American multinational corporation founded in 1892 that manufactures, sells, and markets soft drinks including Coca-Cola, other non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups, and alcoholic beverages, announced that the discontinuation of one of its new flavors, named “Spiced”, after six months of its release.
Coca-Cola discontinues “Spiced” flavor
The company said the new flavor “Spiced” will be discontinued after six months of its release. According to the company, the new flavor was created to target the “Generation Z” or “Gen Z,” people born from 1997 to 2012. The marketing campaign failed, therefore, the company decided to stop producing the new flavor.
“We are always looking at what our consumers like and adjusting our range of products. As part of this strategy, we are planning to phase out Coca-Cola Spiced to introduce an exciting new flavor in 2025,” according to the company’s spokesman.

Coca-Cola said it will be releasing a new exciting flavor in 2025. Sue Lynne Cha, Coca-Cola’s Vice President of Marketing for North America, said: “We know consumers are more and more willing to experiment with new and unique flavors.”
It is worth noting that the “Spiced” flavor was released in February 2024 with a major advertising campaign. “Spiced” is a mix of traditional Coca-Cola flavors with various berry flavors. According to the company, the new flavor received poor sales and attention, therefore the company decided to discontinue it.

The company said it is working on the launch of a new exciting flavor next year as Coca-Cola’s net revenue increased by 2.9% in the second quarter of 2024.
On the other hand, sales in North America fell by 1% due to the release of Coca-Cola Spiced.
