Ajmal Perfumes recently announced the launch of a new fragrance, Dahn Al-Oudh Shabaab, a unisex fragrance targeted at the youth segment. The new fragrance is packaged in a cut-crystal bottle, playing on the concept of a leaf.
“Dahn Al-Oudh is perhaps the most sought after oriental fragrance available today. In Dahn Al-Oudh Shabaab we have created an affordable fragrance that, while being modern, effectively retains the inherent character of the legendary Dahn Al Oudh,” said Marketing Director Nazir Ajmal.
Ajmal further said that the company had recently conducted a research on perfume wearing habits across the GCC. “One of the key findings of our study was that while a large number of young nationals in the GCC are increasing their usage of French perfumes, they still prefer to mix them with traditional oriental fragrances, especially Dahn Al-Oudh. Dahn Al-Oudh Shabaab has been created specifically for this market segment—young men and women, who are expressive and are looking to seek an identity of their own.”
The Dubai-based group of companies, established by an the Indian Ajmal family in 1951, operates a sales and distribution network of nearly 50 exclusive retail shops spread throughout the GCC countries, in addition to some 500 dealers throughout the Middle East. The company plans to open five more stores in the GCC to mark its 50th year in business — three in the UAE and two in Saudi Arabia. — (menareport.com)
