Wok in for a family treat at Mövenpick Deira

The Mövenpick Hotel Deira, the latest five-star addition to the original ‘old town’ of Dubai, has launched its summer Friday promotional brunch, focusing on both in-house guests as well as local residents, with a proposition that is sure to get the kids jumping.

Two of the hotel’s restaurants ‘Wok In’ a bazaar of Asian temptations and ‘Jigsaw’ the international buffet, have teamed-up to deliver a flexible Friday feast, fit for any fun-loving family with little ones to entertain.

Joydeep Ghosh, the hotel's director of sales and marketing commented; “Wok In offers a whole range of Asian dishes as well as freshly prepared Sushi and Jigsaw caters for all tastes with an extensive international buffet.”

“Little ones need to be entertained and mums especially need a break, so we’ve created a ‘Kids Korner’ full of activities that will keep everybody happy,” added Ghosh.

Children’s activities include educational games, ball games to run off excess energy, a drawing area for aspiring artists and much more, all under the supervision of the hotel’s fully trained staff.

Pricing for the Friday brunch starts at just AED119 per adult, with kids up to 12 years of age at AED50 and those under seven years old eat and drink for free.

“Our prices represent exceptional value-for-money. Even if some parents wish to unwind with a more, ‘relaxing drink’ shall we say, the package price is still only AED149 and that’s unlimited pouring house beverages,” said Ghosh.

Naturally the ‘value’ theme is already apparent in the hotel’s room rates for this summer. Creating an urban resort that is attracting weekenders from Abu Dhabi as well as visitors from across the GCC, the Movenpick Deira has a very simple but effective pricing formula.

“We’ve taken what was our lowest room rate and applied a 25% discount across the board, so now room rates start at AED295 subject to tax and service charges, valid until 31 August,” stated Ghosh.

However for those intent on a gentle stroll after lunch, accompanied by family members intent on deals in heels, Deira City Centre and even Dubai Mall are both within easy reach via taxi and the hotel operates complimentary bus shuttles to Al Ghurair Centre, Mirdiff City Centre and Dubai Outlet Mall.
