Toshiba receives accolade at the Middle East Retail Academy 2011 Awards

Toshiba Computer Systems Division, through its Channel Manager, RachielleAraga, bagged an award for the second consecutive yearat the Middle East Retail Academy (MERA): 2011 Awards. Aragawon as ‘UAE Retail Account Manager of the Year’ at the MERA 2011 Awards where the prestigious award giving body acknowledges the exemplary performance and achievements of vendors and retailers in the IT and consumer electronics sector. Winners of the MERA 2011 Awards were announced recently in Fujairah, UAE, as part of the Digital Consumer Channel Middle East and Africa (DCC MEA) event. The winners were chosen based on the citations in MERA Monthly Monitor Report and votes from vendor and retail executives. 

“Being recognised at the MERA Awards is both an honour and challenge for me to further strengthen Toshiba’s relationship with our channel partners and intensify our support and commitment to drive strategic and competitive advantage towards our key partners,” says RachielleAraga, Channel Manager for UAE and Qatar, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf.

Last year, Araga won the award ‘Channel Manager of the Year – Rest of Gulf’ at the same event. Araga netted the award for her exemplary performance and relationship with Toshiba’s key retail channel in the region, especially for the countries of UAE and Qatar. 

DCC MEA is an annual gathering of executives from the field of consumer electronics, digital device and ICT products retail channel in the MEA region. More than 60 vendors and 170 retail executives participated in this year’s DCC MEA event.
