Saed Al Sughair collects donations for families of martyrs

Egyptian folk singer Saed Al Sughair has announced that his grief over the lives of martyrs and their families has led him to half all work on his upcoming album, which he was on the verge of completing. Saed stressed that in the light of the recent events in Egypt with the people’s revolution against the government of former Egyptian President Husni Mubarak and with the blood of martyrs still in the streets.

 

Saed noted that every time photos of the martyrs are shown on different television channels he begin shedding tears of sorrow.

 

The singer has come to an agreement with artists Ahmad Adam and scenarist Ahmad Abdullah on organizing a committee to collect donations from stars and VIPs for the families of martyrs. Saed has also called on the singers that are presenting songs for the revolution and Egypt to donate all profits their songs are achieving to the families of those that lost their lives fighting for the freedom of everyone in Egypt.
