Zamalek have announced the signing of Wadi Degla midfielder Mohamed Hassan on a five year-contract.

"Wadi Degla agreed to sell Hassan for EGP 10 million alongside 20 percent of the sum of the player's re-sale," Wadi Degla official Alaa Anwar announced.

Zamalek president Mortada Mansour revealed that Mohamed Hassan will be out of the team on loan after the White Knights' management extended the stay of international midfielder Tarek Hamed.

The 25-year-old midfielder Hassan joined Wadi Degla from Mahalla, playing 42 games with the White Knights.

Egypt's cup winners Zamalek finished fourth in the Egyptian Premier League teams' table last season.

Zamalek will start their friendly games series during the closed camp in Germany by playing Nuremberg on Tuesday before facing Emirates' outfit Al-Wasl on Friday. The opponent of the third friendly is yet to determined.

The Whites, who have revolved through a number of coaches over the last few seasons, won the Egypt Cup after finishing the Egyptian Premier League in fourth place with 61 points, 27 behind winners Ahly, whom they will meet in the Super Cup.
