Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Hilal are planning a shock move that would bring Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo to the Kingdom Arena, according to Sport.

Jorge Jesus' side is set to terminate Neymar's deal in January, and will work immediately afterward to bring in a superstar to replace him.

The club is reportedly eyeing Ronaldo, who will reach the end of his deal at Al-Nassr at the end of the local season.

Al-Hilal were also following Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, but decided to look elsewhere after being informed of his €1bn buyout clause.

The Riyadh-based club understand Ronaldo's frustrations at Al-Nassr due to lack of silverware, and will be offering him the chance to seriously compete for the AFC Champions League title.
