Iraqis Protest Baghdad's Meddling in The US-Iran Conflict

Thousands of Iraqis have taken the streets of Baghdad, Friday to urge the government not to interfere or mediate in the conflict between the country's two biggest allies, Iran and the US.

Protesters from the movement of Moqtada al-Sadr have chanted "no to war" and "yes to Iraq" in central Baghdad as well as the southern city of Basra.

On the other hand, Iraqis fear that their country is the one to lose in any escalation of US-Iranian tensions, as President Trump's administration revealed it had sent additional forces to the Middle East to counter any threats.
