The first major snowstorm of the year in India's Kashmir region has brought a blanket of beautiful snow but it has also caused many problems for the people living there.
Approximately 30 cm (12 inches) of snow fell throughout the region forcing major highways to close and flights to cancel.
It typically snows in areas of Kashmir every year but the sudden and heavy snowfall always brings challenges, especially in areas where residents aren't well equipped for the freezing weather.
