Jordanian authorities have arrested the famous cartoonist Emad Hajjaj after a cartoon related to the signing of the peace agreement between Israel and UAE.
Hajjaj has published the cartoon on Al Araby and subsequently posted it on his own website and social media accounts.
The head of the Jordanian Center for the Protection and Freedom of Journalists, Nidal Mansour, said Emad was arrested for obstructing the Jordan Information System Cyber Crime Law of 2015.
On the other hand, cartoonists in Jordan and worldwide have sympathized with Hajjaj by drawing cartoonists and posting them on their social media platforms.
