Can't Get Any Hotter! Chili Pepper Harvesting in Bangladesh

Chili pepper is an important crop in Bangladesh, grown on about 100,000 ha with a total production of 136,872 tons annually.

Moreover, the crop is grown during the winter season from mid-November to mid-January and during the rainy season from mid-April to mid-July.

Thousands of workers are busy harvesting and drying chili peppers in Bangladesh. The country harvests several thousands tonnes of chili peppers and sells it around the globe.

On the other hand, The Naga Morich is a superhot pepper from Northeast India and Bangladesh. It is closely related to the bhut jolokia, or ghost pepper, and reaches up to 1.5 million Scoville Heat Units.
