The Afeela electric vehicle: Every gamer's dream

At CES 2024, Sony and Honda unveiled an updated version of their prototype electric vehicle, Afeela, boasting specifications that can only be described as stunning. The vehicle made its debut by being driven by a PlayStation 5 controller.

This vehicle is the result of a joint project called Sony Honda Mobility, aimed at providing an electric sedan model for the American market by 2026.

The Afeela features an all-wheel drive system with a total output of 482 horsepower, thanks to its two permanent magnet synchronous motors on the front and rear axles, each producing 241 horsepower. The company also allows for battery charging up to 150 kW on DC chargers, potentially enabling an 80% charge in under 30 minutes.

The Afeela electric vehicle also boasts a luxurious interior with significant updates from the prototype. New features include a larger central console with two wireless charging pads, as well as the use of artificial intelligence for driver assistance systems. The vehicle will utilize the Vision Transformer model for route planning, with a backup system to ensure safety. These systems will also rely on Qualcomm chips.
