His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority visited yesterday Careers UAE 2011, which is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The career fair is being used as a platform to promote the Majid bin Mohammed UAE Nationals Training Initiative that will see the growth of employment opportunities among UAE nationals, further promoting Emiratisation.

His Highness Sheikh Majid visited the stand of his Private Office to oversee the developments of the day and engaged with the national and international partners of the initiative, who will ensure the programs are directed and implemented under the highest standards possible. The visit was also instrumental in holding a thorough inspection of the day’s proceedings to certify all facets come together according to schedule and in an efficient manner.

HH Sheikh Majid commented: “Careers UAE is a pivotal forum for forging opportunities among UAE nationals. We are confident this year will be a significant triumph for their advancement in the private and public sectors, ultimately inspiring more qualified nationals to join the business community in the UAE.”

Throughout the course of Careers UAE 2011, held from 21-23 March, under the Majid bin Mohammed UAE Nationals Training Initiative, nationals from all over the UAE will be able to interact with leading global and national companies, available at the stand, as they apply for internships in their organizations, which include: "Deloitte Middle East", "Ernst & Young", "IMG", "KPMG", "Price Waterhouse Coopers", "Profiles International Middle East”, "Desert Group", the Emirates Medical Group, "Sharaf DG," and Saeed and Mohammed Al Naboodah Group of Companies.

His Highness has commended these companies for their support, commenting: "We are delighted to have leading organizations join our efforts, in opening doors for our nationals, as they reflect the standards we continue to endorse. We look forward to a successful year that will continue to attract qualified applicants, and allow them to engage in a global business environment alongside multinationals to perpetuate their potentials, while encouraging their growth through development to ultimately achieve higher functional levels in their careers.”

HH Sheikh Majid launched the initiative to provide equal opportunities among the Emirati population in the growing competitive climate of the local labour market. The initiative offers qualified young UAE nationals a choice between three programmes that will work to maximise their development in the work force through training, education, and experience. The Management Training Program, offers participants the opportunity to work with prime global companies, with the programme starting in June for a period of no less than six months. The National Coaching Program, allows its members to train with leading national companies and will also commence in June for a period of no less than 3 months. Prospective members of The Initiatives Management Training will be able to choose from various future initiatives throughout the year.

Interested UAE nationals can submit their admissions, and carry out interviews throughout Careers UAE 2011, 21-23 March, at the pavilion of the Private Office of HH Sheikh Majid located at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
