As part of the Orange Villages project , a CSR initiative launched in 2010 by Orange Jordan to deliver sustainable development to various rural poverty pockets around the Kingdom, Orange Jordan recently concluded the establishment of a football field with artificial turf in Rajm Al Shami High School to be ready for use by students and the local community.

The objective of the initiative was the rehabilitation of an active gathering point for the local community as well as providing a safe playing area for children and students. From their side, locals expressed their delight at the newly-established field which will serve as a multi-purpose platform to meet their needs.

Orange Jordan’s CEO Nayla Khawam commented on this initiative, saying: “We are committed to developing several facilities in the village. We have recently completed equipping the Orange Internet lab, and we have just concluded the establishment of a football field in Rajm Al Shami High School. This reflects our continuous efforts toward improving communication and engagement among and with the local community, which embodies our core mission.”

This step came in line with many other development projects Orange Jordan promised to deliver in the village, which include the establishment of an internet- equipped computer lab and a school library, in addition to the maintenance and restoration of Rajm Al Shami Primary School and the provision of essential medical equipment to the village’s health center.

Orange Jordan’s strategy, which comprises of two projects: the Orange Broadband Fund and the Orange Villages, aims at spreading the internet culture in the Kingdom, in addition to supporting underprivileged local communities.
