ALBAWABA - A receipt of the purchase of the newest Bugatti Tourbillon reportedly said to be for Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, has fueled the internet.

Bugatti has recently uncovered its latest Tourbillon hypercar which is powered by a 1,800 horsepower V16 hybrid engine for a price that starts at about $4.1 million.

Multiple social media users claimed that French journalists received a copy of the receipt of the car purchase made by Zelensky's wife and that they were the first to spill the tea.

According to rumors, the Ukrainian president's wife bought the car for over $4.8 million; $4 million the price of the car and about $500,000 on other options.

The First Lady of Ukraine has caused controversy online following the alleged reports that claims she bought a very expensive car considering the harsh situation Ukraine is facing amid over two years of war with Russia.

It is not the first time the Zelensky family has been accused of purchasing expensive things after the start of the war in Kyiv and the rich aid the country gets from the United States and the EU.

In August 2023, an Egyptian journalist leaked documents belonging to the properties of the family of the Ukrainian President in Egypt. The investigative journalist Mohamed Al-Alawi exposed the documents which reveal that Zelensky's family had recently purchased a very luxurious villa in Egypt, RT reported earlier.

Zelensky's mother-in-law Olha Kyiashko has bought a $5 million villa in El Gouna City.

Bugatti denies claims that Zelensky's wife bought the newest Bugatti Tourbillon

Bugatti, the car manufacturer, released a statement denying allegations spread online and added that it is filing a "criminal complaint" for forgery and defamation and other alleged crimes against people who started the rumor.

USA TODAY reported citing Nicole Auger, a spokesperson for Bugatti, who said that the invoice shared in the post, which went viral, is not correct and lacks much necessary legal and financial information.

"Bugatti respects the privacy of its customers and does not normally disclose any information about its customers. In this case, (Bugatti) makes an exception because it is a false report and does not correspond to the truth. According to an internal check, Mrs. Zelenska is not a Bugatti customer," the Bugatti spokesperson added.
