ALBAWABA - An Egyptian journalist has leaked documents belonging to the properties of the family of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Egypt.
The investigative journalist Mohamed Al-Alawi exposed the documents which reveal that Zelenskyy's family had recently purchased a very luxurious villa in Egypt, RT reported.
According to the documents made by the Egyptian journalist, Zelenskyy's mother-in-law Olha Kyiashko has bought a $5 million villa in El Gouna City.
The investigation further allegedly said that Kyiashko used West aid money to Ukraine to purchase the villa in Egypt.
In detail, it added that the property is a luxury resort located in El Gouna on the Red Sea coast and it cost about $5 million.
The United States and the Western allies have been sending money, assistance, and military aid to Ukraine since the start of the Russian war in Kyiv on Feb. 24, 2022.
Anger has spread after the allegations that Zelenskyy's family is using the aid money to buy and acquire properties and mansions in Egypt, claiming that they might have also bought other villas or houses in other countries.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt revealed to Cairo24 that all rumors circulating that Zelenskyy purchased a villa in El Gouna are incorrect.
Furthermore, El Gouna City also confirmed that the allegations about the Zelensyy family's possession of a villa are fake.
It said in a statement: "Despite the care taken to protect customer data, and not to disclose any information or details about them, after reviewing all records, we confirm that there is no record indicating that Zelensky or any of his family members own any property in El Gouna."
