ALBAWABA - A video made headlines during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to North Korea, where the Russian leader was seen negotiating with Kim Jong-Un on who enters the car first.
Footage has circulated on social media platforms where Putin and Kim Jong-Un were next to a black car while both were signing to each other calling them to enter first.
The negotiations between Putin and Kim continued for a while before the Russian President agreed to enter the car first. Meanwhile, the North Korean leader walked to the other side of the car and entered from the other door.
Various comments were made online as some claimed that both leaders may not be trusting each other enough. An X user said: "The fact that both of em may be suspecting the other put something in the car."
Another one, joked: "Even Putin was like 'I'm not going to argue with this guy.'"
On the other hand, many netizens clarified that the incident was out of respect as a person posted: "Mutual respect! Men extend respect to each other not out fair or favour but deep understanding of duty and responsibility. Aura for Aura indeed."
The Russian president's visit to North Korea marks the first official visit to the country since 2000.
On Wednesday, Kim Jong-Un received Vladimir Putin in Pyongyang with a "spectacular ceremony," RT reported. It added that a military orchestra played the national anthems of Russia and N. Korea, as well as artillery guns fired a welcoming salvo.
