ALBAWABA - On the day of his wedding, a groom was detained by police authorities in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, on suspicion of stabbing. The Amur region's Investigative Committee reports that Eduard, a 29-year-old male, has been detained as a result of the event.
After being brought into jail, Eduard was first housed in a judicial detention facility. Later, the authorities decided to put him under house arrest, allowing him to have restricted contact with his new spouse while the legal process was ongoing.
The event including the stabbing happened on May 28, Russian Border Guards Day. While strolling, Eduard and his spouse came upon a boisterous celebration going on. Following an altercation, a 57-year-old man was reportedly stabbed by Eduard.
Since then, the injured guy has received treatment and been released from the hospital. It was made clear that the victim was not an employee of the Russian Border Guard, despite what had been previously reported.
Eduard told detectives he was carrying the knife in case he needed it for self-defense. It was also established by the inquiry that his bride had not been there during the altercation.
