ALBAWABA - A shocking bodycam footage recently swarmed social media platforms of a US woman residing in Virginia attacking a Fairfax County police officer with a knife moments before she got shot three times and killed.
The woman in question is Sydney Wilson who was met with a cop knocking on her apartment door at 10 a.m. Sept. 16, 2024, to perform a welfare check. After the police officer identified himself, Wilson closed the door but minutes later opened it again with a knife in her hands and started swinging at the officer, as reported by NBC Washington.
According to the footage circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter), she allegedly slashed his face as the policeman was heard signaling for help using his pager.

Minutes after the incident, a fellow police officer arrived at the scene to perform CPR. A chief named Kevin Davis added that the unnamed officer tried his best to de-escalate the situation at hand but ended up retreating towards the hallway while shooting his gun at the suspect.
Davis said during a press conference that the officer did what they trained him to do.
He added, "Any loss of life is something that we all mourn, the person whose life was lost in this particular case is no different; she has a family and friends and loved ones who love her very much, who care about her and undoubtedly are grieving and upset and we acknowledge that and we pray and our thoughts are with this particular family".
After he was taken to the hospital, the policeman was identified as a 14-year veteran assigned to the Reston Patrol District, according to ABC 7 News.
