ALBAWABA - Israeli General Amir Avivi said during an interview that an American official accused the Israeli army of systematically "sexually abusing" Palestinian women.
In a private meeting between the US official and the Israeli general at the US State Department, the head of the Israeli-Palestinian portfolio accused the army of "sexually abusing" women.
Avivi said during an interview with 103FM radio station, that he was "shocked" when the American official made the statement, The Jerusalem Post reported.
The Israeli general revealed: "It was a meeting that shook me. We sat there, talked about the situation, and suddenly she accused Israel of systematically sexually abusing Palestinian women."
Furthermore, Amir Avivi denied the accusation made by the US official and said that if so the media would have reported it. "Does it make sense that this phenomenon would exist and the media would never have reported on it?" he added.
