ALBAWABA - Donald Trump uploaded edited photos to social media, suggesting that Taylor Swift and her large following are endorsing him for the forthcoming U.S. presidential election. The well-known singer, who has drawn interest due to her possible ability to sway younger voters, has not yet formally backed a candidate for the election scheduled for November 5.
Taylor Swift openly backed Joe Biden in 2020 and denounced Donald Trump for her perception of his part in fostering racism and white supremacist sentiment while in office. She hasn't said anything yet on the current election, though.
On his social media network, "Truth Social," Trump allegedly uploaded digitally altered photos of Swift encouraging her followers, dubbed "Swifties," to vote for him, according to Sky News. On one of the posters, Trump said, "I accept."
Specialists have commented on whether or not these photos are real. Expert in digital verification at the University of California, Berkeley Hany Farid told Sky News that while some of the photos were probably created with artificial intelligence, others may have been altered by more conventional means.
The article also included images of ladies sporting shirts bearing the catchphrase "Swifties for Trump." Farid noticed that it looked like AI techniques were used to make a few of these photographs. These photos have gone viral, but neither Taylor Swift nor any member of her team have replied to the posts.
Republicans and Democrats have attempted to take advantage of Swift's enormous popularity, but she has continuously refrained from supporting one party over the other.
Swift's recent social media action, in which she encouraged her millions of Instagram followers to visit "Vote.org" and register to vote, was also featured by Sky News. After she posted, the group announced that more than 35,000 new voters had registered in a single day—a 23% rise from the same day the year before.
