ALBAWABA - Teodora Marcu, a Romanian pregnant reality TV star, was shot dead in front of her 3-year-old daughter in a horrific street attack carried out by her ex-boyfriend in the Cosmopolis neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.
A video was posted on social media showing Marcu, 23, being shot four times while with her little child and her cousin on the outskirts of Bucharest.
The horrific crime took place at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, local media confirmed.
The reality TV star was 26 weeks pregnant before she was killed. Her ex-boyfriend, Robert Lupu, carried out the shooting attack, Antena 3 CNN reported. Marcu was taken to hospital, but doctors were unable to save her life.
Femicides, or crimes against women, have been on the rise in Romania as Between 2015 and 2023, 426 cases of women killed by their partners, ex-partners or family members were reported, as mentioned by the country's former Minister of Family Gabriela Firea.
