ALBAWABA - A Sudanese woman living in Darfur accused the Sudanese Armed Forces leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of raping her back in 2005.
In a video that went viral, the Sudanese woman taled her story about Abdel Fattah al-Burhan when he was an army man in Darfur and how he raped her more than one time, leading to her pregnancy.
The woman, identified as Halima Sadeq Mohammed Noor, said: "I demand my rights from Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan because he ruined my life. And I want my message to reach the highest authority so that I can gain my rights."
She added that almost two decades ago, people didn't know who to complain to whenever they were subjected to such a situation and that's why now she is calling for justice.
In detail, the Sudanese woman continued that the current Sudanese Armed Forces leader said that he wanted to have se* with her and when she refused, he warned that he would beat and kill her.
She was scared but no one was around, so she continued that he raped her. Halima added that she was ashamed of what happened and that's why she remained silent and didn't tell her aunt about the rape. The second time the Sudanese woman revealed in the video that he told her to come and wash his clothes and she did. "Once again, he raped me."
Halima Sadeq said that her aunt saw her and asked him why he did this, but al-Burhan was angered by her question and said "How dare you ask me about something like this." The Sudanese woman continued that same day after sunset, some people came and asked about her aunt, but they took her and killed her, then they threw her body at the door.
Halima then left the area to the outskirts of Sarf Omra in a place called Krokkoili because she was afraid to experience the same fate as her aunt. She lived there and gave birth to her boy, who died after falling in a valley while playing with other kids.
